เมื่อวันที่ ๑๑ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะดาโต๊ะ ซรี ฮัจญี อิดริส ฮารอน มุขมนตรีแห่งรัฐมะละกา เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ โดยในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นกันเกี่ยวกับศักยภาพสำหรับการขยายความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศไทยกับรัฐมะละกา โดยเฉพาะในเรื่องของการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนในระดับสูง และความร่วมมือเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในระดับภูมิภาค

 

On 11 August 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call on Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Ir. Haji Idris Haron, Chief Minister of the State of Melaka, to introduce himself upon taking up his duty in Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, the two had an opportunity to exchange information and views on possibilities for strengthening relations between Thailand and the State of Melaka, particularly by the exchanges of high-level visits and by the cooperation to promote regional tourism.
